Artist's Comments

Inspired and dedicated to my friend Sharky, who may use this image however she wishes. It's herself as her fav super-spy, Solid Snake! Obviously, I took a great deal of creative license with the gear itself, but I think the idea gets across. It was my first attempt at a braid! I'm pleased, though I botched it up, technically. I'm also very fond of the gloves and boots!

Yay Sharky-sama!

AH! I thought of Solid Snake too when I saw the title for this and now I know why. :XD: The proportions of the body seem about right, except perhaps a shadow beneath her feet would give the suggestion that she is standing on something rather than floating on the paper. That's just my preference though. My teacher always used to drill that into our heads, to put some sort of background to work off of for where they are standing.

Nice work. :D

Thanks! Because I'm totally that cool in real life! <3<3<3.

Mk 22 is weapon of choice? :D.

Haha. Well of course you're that cool! *grins*

I tend to disassociate the character from their background on instinct anyway, so silly me. I start my drawings with the head and work down, so by the time I get to the feet, I (should!) know where they're standing *laughs*

Glad you like it!

;P ;P.

Yeah. I used to do that a lot too but then sometimes I'd draw a person and felt like I had trouble with their pose because I needed to imagine something solid beneath them, ya know? :XD:

And you're welcome. :glomp:
:iconcyrexwingblade:
I've had to do some grounding for that, too, yeah.
