On the drawing, I'll say that it's honestly a sketch (though I had to work very hard to make it as presentable as it is... Sad, yes.) However, for its purpose, it's a completed work. I may post a cleaner version at another time.
Onto the content. The larger man on the left is Rikan, the smaller man on the right is Meridian (Ian). Technically, Rikan is a villain, but really they're both protecting the women they love from danger at the point of this scene. Ian is a Guardian, and his Protected was attacked by the woman Rikan guards. Instant show-down.
I'm quite proud of Rikan's head, musculature (real men and women have body hair dad gummit!), and the poses of his arms. The rest of the pic is functional, but I'd be the first to admit its so-so by even lenient standards.
Both Rikan and Ian are unnaturally fast, powerful, and durable, so it's actually a very equal fight, despite the size difference. Notice that Ian is quite successfully blocking that first punch in the back-ground.
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
